The Dispersion Series prints were created in 2009 by exposing India ink drawings onto five large solar plates; the plates were printed in relief and intaglio layers over several weeks, in varying orders and then finished with hand coloring; the inking, layering and hand work makes each piece unique though related to other pieces in a series by the common matrixes and marks; the initial conceptual inspiration was to explore the way in which light is scattered or distributed across water- also related to the ways in which material, ideas and sound scatter.
